Beginner's Meditation

Meditation is defined in numerous ways by different specialists. It can be defined as the process of transition of an uncontrolled mind to a peaceful and satisfied one through various techniques. Meditation is carried out in various ways but have a similar approach. For beginner's, it encourages a person to focus on some specific element like breath, spoon, a candle or mantra. This technique of meditation is called as objects of meditation. This technique usually helps in increasing the focus ability, a sense of calm and heightened awareness.

Ways of Meditation:

Everyone is running out of the time and rushing to clear their targets. The foremost requirement for meditation is to leave away every thing aside for a little while and give the attention deliberately. Few key points to start as a beginner:

a) Meditation can be carried out by keeping the back straight without pain. Care must be taken that you are comfortable with your posture.

b) Close your eyes and focus your attention. Do not get distracted with outside noises, thoughts or emotions.

c) Focus on the mechanism of breathing while undergoing meditation. Look for the rise and fall of the abdomen as the breath comes in and flows outside. Try to sustain the dominancy in this small exercise.

Benefits of Meditation:

Keep doing these exercises on a daily basis for 10-15 minutes. For beginners, the exercise would prove to be a difficult task but as you continue with this exercise, sharp changes could be seen in overall personalities. It not only helps in clear and sharper focus but also results in positive mental and physical aspects of our bodies. It has been proved by many of the medical studies that meditation alone can reduce high blood pressure, lowers the body temperature, reduces stress and lessens anxiety. Better problem solving abilities and being creative, higher IQ's and increased happiness are some of the other magical outputs of meditation. Beginner meditation helps us to achieve our targets through simple concentration, observation, reflection and thought. At initial stage, meditation can be a sleepy or bored process, but with practice one can master the techniques and avail the peaceful, healthy and happy lifestyle.
