Bible meditation

The Bible meditation described:

The word meditation denotes careful, calm, prayerful thought. However, there is far too more expected of the meditation. This is a direct communication with an omnipotent power, greater than us all. According to Christian philosophy this greatest power is the Holy Spirit. In the meditation forms of other kinds, you are urged to let your minds become blank so that you become ready to receive these impressions. One of the chief disciples of Jesus Christ, the apostle Paul has instructed us to follow the meditation this way: 'Fill your minds with those things that are good and deserving praise. Like the things that are noble, true, right, pure, lovely and honorable. Put into practice what you learned and received from me'. The scriptures are the great and genuine masters. These are to be received through the inner route of mind.

The meditation process simplified:

The characteristic feature about Bible meditation is not in acquiring more knowledge of the Bible, but, essentially to comprehend and practice the truth contained in it. The teaching of Bible denotes your own very life. It is in fact, the ultimate salvation which manifests in one form. In Matthew 7:21, Jesus puts it in most strong, clear and candid terms thus: 'Not every person who calls me 'Lord ….Lord' will enter into the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do what my Father in heaven wants them to do'. There are deceiving spirits, which at the beginning of meditation come as 'angels of light' with good and kind thoughts. They persist until the meditating person trusts them and thereafter the deception starts. The devout Christians must try to keep away from this deceptive path of meditation.

Precautionary steps for proper Bible meditation:

In order to save oneself from satanic deception, with or without Bible some precautionary steps are suggested for one's practice:

* Cleansing of heart is essential hence it is necessary that you start with cleansing of heart.

* In case of un-confessed sin, confession and forsaking is necessary in all humility.

* Call upon God for revealing His truth to you, providing you with the Spirit of Truth.

* Surrender all the thoughts received by you to the ultimate referee of Truth, the Bible.

* Practicing the Truth that is revealed to you must be greatest of all, which is crucial. This needs to be thoroughly checked before confirmation.

* Always be watchful of the sign accompanying the Truth. The phrase ' You shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free' is the landmark guiding note.
